MOI AUSSI !

THE SHOW

The acrobat is never more than a big child who continues to explore the full possibilities of his body, in direct contact with the material.

His playground : the stage. The starting toys are a Hula Hoop and a small trolley. Unstable situations are provoked through those objects in relation with bodies, and then, it becomes all about the fundamental question of acrobatic : alterity. Wiggling, pushing or supporting each other, he and she discover how “I” and “You” can be built together by confronting the world and each other.

Intentions

” Like all small children, you were fascinated by movement. Your gaze carefully followed the people moving around you, then you took pleasure in pushing and throwing any object you could grab, and finally you learned to move yourself. You thus entered a world animated by a constant whirl of natural and artificial movements ”  – Neil Ardley, Science Pratique

Every year, the Académie Fratellini, a french circus school, calls on an artist or company to create a show for young audiences. After Jeanne Mordoj (Cousumain), Florence Caillon (Le petit lac), Olivier Letellier (Bastien sans main), Sylvère Lamotte (La fabuleuse histoire de BasarKus)…, in 2023 the company Un loup pour l’Homme was asked to direct two artists at the end of their training. For 4 weeks, Špela VODEB and Alexandre FRAY led Lucie Otter and Daniel Kvašnovský, apprentice-artists in their final year (class of 2022-2024) through the production of a 30-minute show.

#DJH - an itinerant festival in les Hauts-de-France

Des Jours Heureux is a tour, a series of meeting points between an artistic team and local residents. It means setting up in the heart of neighborhoods, small towns, rural or suburban areas, and reconnecting with all the convivial and extraordinary aspects of the arrival of a circus in a village square. It means going to people’s homes and sharing a piece of life with them, around a show, a workshop, an evening or a drink. Let the show be a pretext for encounters!

Des Jours Heureux means opening up a living, ephemeral space – a forum, a place for activities, meals and shows – around our big top. It means setting up for a week (or a little more) in a town that so wishes, and collaborating to propose a program that includes the installation of a circus space, shows, workshops, jam sessions, festive evenings… All in the greatest conviviality between residents, partners and the artistic team.

On the strength of our previous experience, we want to share the artistic creation of contemporary circus with populations who have few opportunities to attend big top theaters. We want to recreate partnerships between communities and companies.

After this first edition in 2024, we’d like to continue the experience every season, by establishing long-term links with certain municipalities, and develop a circus tour that can be shared with other companies.

DANS L’ESPACE

The project - Dans l'espace ('In the space')

Suddenly, something appears, weighs, turns, chases, covers. And you can’t avoid it. So you try to deal with it, forcing it, dodging, jumping, climbing. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. But we persevere. Relying on each other. Dealing with our surroundings.

At the heart of this world-top, 4 acrobats, between tension and mischief, find themselves in precarious situations in the face of a world in constant transformation. They have to choose between the temptation of control, the lure of play, or the humility of not taking on something stronger

A circus show full of risk and lightness, set in an immersive soundscape (with a rock vibe) that supports the hypnosis of the situation, performed live by 2 musicians who are both witnesses and accomplices. than they are.

PASSING SWIFTLY

The project

A few guitar notes, and two women come together in the middle of the audience.

They get closer, look at each other, embrace, climb, propel, and whirl. This proximity and the subtle presence of the musician create an intimate space in which the two acrobats gradually reveal the potential of their bodies, the trust and the complicity that nourish their relationship, their experiences.

Drawing from dance and circus arts, they take turns being bases and flyers, defying stereotypes to express a sensitive strength without artifice.
